Quality Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Lead to oversee and drive quality assurance activities within our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through robust inspection processes, as well as managing and resolving internal and external non-conformance issues. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and continuously improve quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Inspection

  • Lead, plan, and execute inspection activities throughout the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection protocols, checklists, and sampling plans.
  • Monitor in-process and final inspections, ensuring timely identification and correction of quality issues.
  • Train and guide inspection teams on quality standards, inspection techniques, and reporting methods.

Non-Conformance Management

  • Oversee the identification, documentation, and analysis of internal non-conformances arising in production.
  • Manage customer complaints and external non-conformance reports, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with clients.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Track, trend, and report on non-conformance data to drive continuous improvement.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters across production & site teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to address recurring issues and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives by providing feedback and following up on external non-conformance findings.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimize inspection and testing processes.
  • Support audits (internal, customer, and regulatory) by providing required quality records and demonstrating compliance.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
  • Drive initiatives that reduce defects, rework, and customer returns.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production quality role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with inspection processes, non-conformance handling, and root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
