Dorplan Bake Sale Raises £350!

The Dorplan team hosted a bake sale in support of Rob Howling (Head of Project Management) and Darren Smith (Director of Marketing and Business Development), who took on the Cambridge Half Marathon.

An honourable mention also goes to Thomas Su (Project Manager), who completed the race alongside them.

With cakes, cupcakes, traybakes and more, we raised £356, resulting in donations of £178 to each of the runners’ chosen charities!

Rob ran in support of Maggie’s Centres a charity that provides free cancer support and information in centres across the UK. Darren chose to support Royal Papworth Hospital Charity, which funds life-saving research and care for patients with heart and lung conditions.

Combined with their own fundraising efforts, Rob and Darren raised over £800 for these causes! That total reflects the time and effort people put in to support something outside of their day-to-day.

A big well done to everyone who contributed, baked, donated, and supported. And an even bigger congratulations to Rob and Darren for completing the Cambridge Half Marathon and raising money for two important charities.
