What’s Included in the Kit

Each made-to-order Installation Kit is supplied with all the essential components required for a certified and efficient doorset installation, including:

  • Fire Foam and/or Intumescent mastic – firestopping materials that expand under heat to maintain the integrity of the doorset during a fire.
  • Multi-purpose fixings and/or Timber fixings – high-performance fixings suitable for different types of supporting construction, ensuring strength and durability.
  • Plastic Packers – tested packers supplied in varying quantities and sizes to ensure precise door alignment and secure fitting.

Every installation has just been made easier than ever with an interactive Installation Guide. Included with every kit, this offers step-by-step instructions covering all installation requirements for your certified doorsets.

Made to Fit Your Project

Because every project is unique, our Installation Kits are made-to-order to match the exact specification of your Dorplan doorsets. This ensures a perfect fit, efficient installation, and complete certification — no compromises or mismatched components.

Fully Certified for Safety and Performance

At Dorplan, certification isn’t just a box-ticking exercise — it’s a guarantee of proven safety, reliability, and performance. Our Installation Kits are rigorously tested and certified under some of the most recognised industry standards:

Fire and Smoke Testing

  • BS 476-20 & 22 – These British Standards specify methods for determining the fire resistance of building elements, including doorsets. They assess how long materials can contain a fire and maintain structural integrity.
  • EN 1634-1 – The European standard for fire resistance testing of door and shutter assemblies. It verifies how long a doorset can resist the passage of flames and hot gases.
  • EN 1634-3 – This standard measures smoke control performance, ensuring that doors and seals effectively prevent the spread of smoke.
  • EN 1366-4 – Focused on the fire resistance of sealing systems (like foams and mastics), this test ensures that joints and gaps maintain their integrity under fire conditions.

Third-Party Certification

  • Certifire Approved – Certifire is a trusted, independent third-party certification scheme for fire protection products. Approval under Certifire provides assurance of consistent quality, verified performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Warringtonfire Certified – Warringtonfire is an internationally recognised testing and certification body. Their certification verifies that products have been tested to rigorous standards and perform as claimed in real-world conditions.
  • KIWA Certified – KIWA is a global certification authority that ensures construction materials and systems meet quality, safety, and sustainability requirements. KIWA-certified Fire-stopping and Opening Assemblies (FOAs) guarantee long-term reliability and conformity with international standards.
