Grantham Practice

Dorplan manufactured 44 timber doorsets for the Grantham Practice project, comprising FD30 fire-rated doorsets and 35dB acoustic doors.

Located in the heart of Clapham, Grantham Practice is a refurbished NHS GP surgery featuring bespoke-sized doorsets designed to suit the existing structural openings. Three distinct Formica laminate finishes were selected to provide clear visual differentiation across various areas of the facility.

Due to the nature of the refurbishment, existing structural openings varied across the site. To ensure full compliance and accuracy, Dorplan conducted a detailed site survey to verify all opening dimensions and conditions. This data informed the manufacture of custom-sized doorsets, ensuring correct tolerances and alignment with the existing building fabric.

The site survey and tailored manufacturing process provided assurance to the client that all products would arrive on site ready for efficient installation and integration into the completed scheme. The relationship between Dorplan and the customer was key to the projects success.
