Sunlight House
Dorplan supplied 300 internal timber doorsets for the refurbishment of Sunlight House, a Grade II listed Art Deco building on Quay Street. Originally constructed in the early 1930s, the building remains a recognised Manchester landmark.
The project required a mix of non-fire rated, FD30 and FD30S doorsets across reception areas, corridors and office spaces.
To reflect the building’s Art Deco heritage, the doorsets featured curved vision panels and applied mouldings, ensuring the design aligned with the wider interior while maintaining performance.
Working alongside the project team, Dorplan delivered a compliant doorset package suited to both the building’s operational needs and its architectural character.
