Built-in safety at Essex Primary School

You can’t see the safety features in the doors at this new school, but they’re brimming with them.

From independently-certified fire and acoustic performance to safety hinges that design out the risk of trapped fingers, these doors will keep children and staff safe for years to come.

Dorplan supplied 120 doorsets for the school, many featuring side-screens to ensure visibility into classrooms and aid light distribution. The requirements varied across the school but Dorplan catered for numerous combinations of fire-ratings, acoustic ratings, vision panels and side screens.
