Doorsets brimming with features!
Built as part of a larger development including new housing, The Broxbourne School is a brand-new school boasting first class facilities – including, of course, Dorplan doorsets!
Dorplan supplied 412 doorsets for this project, 112 of which included side screens. Doors were laminated in Formica F1484 steel and F1062 smoked oak, the steel having contrasting lippings and vision panel beading, while the oak was paired with complementary lippings and beading.
The doors were a mixture of FD30 and FD60, with a range of acoustic ratings from 30 up to 45 dB. Specialist glass for the vision panels was both fire-resistant and insulating, thereby protecting school staff and students from heat as well as fire and smoke.
The sports hall doors were specially-designed to protect users of the room, being completely flush with no protruding ironmongery or beading.
The project was delivered in three phases over a two-month period.
Project manager Rob Howling said: “This has been a fantastic project to work on, the results of which speak for themselves!” ch speak for themselves!”
