Unique design doorsets for Kennington Oval

In 1877, the borough of Lambeth in south London witnessed the construction of the world’s largest gas holder of its kind in Kennington, showcasing an impressive achievement of Victorian engineering prowess.

The gas holder was decommissioned in 2014 and construction of the enormous Oval Village started on the site in 2019. This redevelopment undertaken by Berkeley Homes brings a collection of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.

Dorplan collaborated with Berkeley Homes to create a distinctive doorset design specifically for this project. We conducted rigorous testing to certify the design of these doorsets, ensuring they met with all compliance requirements.

This current phase for Oval Village required us to supply 2,500 doorsets for this project. The result has been fantastic. The views from the apartments are incredible!

The next phase is soon to happen, with the completion of the Oval Village currently set to complete by 2023.
