Was it the doors that ‘swung’ it?!

The Dorplan team were proud and delighted to discover that The Broxbourne School has been shortlisted for Offsite Project of the Year in the Building Awards.

Dorplan supplied more than 420 doorsets and screens for this scheme. These included our 3rd-party certified fire and smoke-resistant doors and acoustic doors with noise reduction of up to 45dB.

Aside from the stylish and hard-wearing finish, the doors included lots of other nice features such as flush ironmongery and beading on the sports hall doors to protect users from impact injuries.

The build employed a range of on-site and off-site methods, which allowed Dorplan to demonstrate the flexibility of its products for both traditional and modern methods of construction.
